Community Consultation: Victoria Road School

Victoria Road
Old School Regeneration Project

Since it closed in 2008, the former school on Victoria Road in Torry has been the
subject of a local campaign to stop demolition of the buildings and secure a future
role for this Torry landmark.

In September 2018, Aberdeen City Council agreed to offer the vacant buildings to Grampian Housing Association in partnership with Torry Development Trust as the preferred bidder, with a plan to restore the beautiful granite buildings to create affordable homes, community space, an early learning and childcare facility and accessible outdoor
areas.

We are waiting for the sale to be finalised by solicitors for both sides.

We are now working on a feasibility study, with support from Community Enterprise,to find out how the space at Victoria Road School could best meet the needs of the local community: this is where we need your help.

If you live, work or spend time in Torry, please take a few minutes to fill in our survey online, and share it with your friends, family, colleagues and neighbours!
